The range of work represented within this site is the work of Derek Norman. It includes pen and black ink drawings and studies, watercolor graphics and paintings, oil paintings and a variety of graphic material that celebrate the world of plants.

The Midwest Center for Botanical Documentation is an archive of visual images of common, rare, threatened and endangered species of wildflowers, grasses and sedges native to Illinois and the Midwest.

Garden Graphics is an extensive collection of iconography all related to the subject of horticulture, botany, conservation, gardening and gardens. While the Gallery presents a collection of botanical works in various media.

Newspaper Columns & Books highlight a broad range of subjects covering several plant subjects that implicitly communicate the importance of plants and the place they play in our lives. The “Books” part is really a catalogue of the illustrated cookbooks of Ursel and Derek Norman.
